Stockhouse Farm development secures planning Farley Green Guildford Surrey four traditionally designed homes

Stockhouse Farm: Planning Permission

Stockhouse Farm Development Secures Planning in Farley Green, Surrey.

TSBP Architecture is pleased to announce that our Stockhouse Farm development secures planning permission in Farley Green, near Guildford, Surrey. The approved scheme allows the demolition of redundant farm buildings. In their place, we will deliver a single block of four new homes designed in a traditional style.

A Traditionally Styled Residential Scheme

The development provides two three-bedroom houses and two two-bedroom houses, along with ancillary outbuildings. It also includes eight parking spaces, secure cycle storage, refuse provision, and both private and communal outdoor space.

By applying traditional design principles, the homes reflect the scale and character of the village. Local materials, pitched roof forms, and simple detailing help the buildings blend into their surroundings. As a result, the scheme both improves the site and adds much-needed housing.

Planning Sensitivity and Success

The site lies within the Surrey Hills countryside, so achieving planning permission required careful attention. The demolition of former farm buildings created an opportunity to replace outdated structures with new housing. In addition, the design needed to respect planning policies and the rural character of the area.

Through collaboration and a conservation-led design approach, the scheme balances policy requirements with the delivery of sustainable new homes. Therefore, the approval demonstrates how well-prepared, sensitive design can achieve planning consent for rural housing developments.
